Andrew's First Night/ Morning of Day Two

Andrew had a tiring but good first night. He is real tired and will hopefully get more rest throughout the day- but is telling us (through the breathing tube) "I will fight this" "I will beat this". We are so proud of him!!! He started exercising his arms and it sounds like he's got the right attitude.

However, we need prayers more than ever for the spinal cord injury that Andrew received. We need to pray for a miracle- pray so that he can be able to wiggle his toes. An injury like Andrew's leaves little chance for walking so we need a miracle. People have been pouring in their support, and that is so important- so thank you everyone.

Also- the nurses will slowly begin to decrease the breathing support throughout the morning. If everything goes well and Andrew is able to breath on his own, we should have him tube free by this afternoon- which will be so wonderful for him. PRAY PRAY PRAY!

  1. Many prayers your way for toe wiggling! Maybe the nurses can give you some feet tickles, that should help :)
Keep working hard, it'll pay off.

  11. Andrew, you have been in our thoughts and prayers since yesterday morning when John called Sevag. I haven’t had the opportunity to meet you yet but I have heard about your wonderful sense of humor, your motivation to succeed, your fun personality and how good you fish. Sevag says you’re “a great guy.” I wanted to let you know that I have worked very closely with spinal cord injury patients at Northridge Hospital Rehabilitation Center and know how difficult and long this recovery journey may be for you and your loved ones. If there is anything I can do to help you or your family please don’t hesitate to call. My number is (323) 496-8843 and Sevag’s number is (323) 496-3915. If you need information/referrals when you come back please let me know (you or family members can email me at drlisamanuelian@yahoo.com). You will always be in our prayers. Have hope, it only gets better with time.

    Warm regards,
    Lisa

  12. Okay Andrew,
Here's a shout out to you from the entire Aguirre/Pable clan!
We have literally hundreds of prayer warriors out there storming the heavens on your behalf. We have been very aware of the effect of our prayers joined with everyone else's since yesterday morning--Praise God!!
I have every confidence that you will be walking again, Andrew. It may be painful and may take a long time, but it seems everyone agrees, if anyone can pull out of this, it is you! Just remember, you're not doing this on your own....God is piloting you thru the storm. Follow Him!
    Much love and many prayers,
the families of Robert and Rose Aguirre
